Carbide saw blade contains the type of the alloy bits, the material of the substrate, the diameter, the number of teeth, the thickness, the shape of tooth, the angle, the aperture, and other parameters, which determine the capacity of the carbide saw blade. When choosing the carbide saw blade, we should consider the type of the cutting material, the thickness, the cutting and feeding speed, the cutting direction, and the width.
1.The selection of the type The most commonly used type of the tungsten carbide include tungsten cobalt (code YG) and tungsten titanium (code YT). Due to the wonderful impact resistance. tungsten cobalt cemented carbide is widely used in the wood processing industry.
2.The choice of the base 65 mn spring steel has good elasticity and plasticity, economical material, good hardenability of heat treatment and the low heating temperature, which can be used for the low-requirement cutting tools.
Carbon tool steel contains the high carbon which has the high thermal conductivity, but under the temperature of 200 ℃ to 250 ℃, its hardness and wear resistance decline sharply. At the meantime, it has the bad treatment deformation , poor hardenability and easy cracking.
Compared with carbon tool steel, the alloy tool steel has the great heat resistance, good wear resistance and wonderful processing performance. Under the temperature of 300 ℃ to 400 ℃ is suitable for manufacturing high-grade alloy saw blade.
High-speed tool steel has good hardenability, hardness and strong rigidity, less heat deformation and ultra high strength steel. The stability of thermoplastic is suitable for manufacturing high-grade and ultra-thin saw blade.
3.The selection of the diameter The diameter of the saw blade is related to the cutting device and the thickness of the cutting material. The smaller the saw blade diameter is, the lower the cutting speed. Saw blades with large diameter have the more demands about the saw blade sawing equipment. At the same time, the cutting efficiency is relatively high.
4.The number of the saw
Generally speaking, the more the number of the saw, the more the number of cutting edge in the unit time, the better cutting performance, the more quantity the cutting teeth needs. Usually the space is from 15 to 25 mm. Teeth spacing should be choose reasonably according to cutting material.
5.The choice of the thickness
The manufacturing process of the alloy saw blade determines the thickness of the saw blade. The thin saw blade is easy to shake which affects the effect of the cutting. When selecting the thickness of the saw blade, we should consider the saw blade working stability and the cutting material.
6.The option of the tooth
Commonly used teeth include the alternate teeth, the flat teeth, the ladder flat teeth (high and low gear), the inverted trapezoidal teeth (taper teeth), the dovetail teeth (hump teeth) and so on.
